Who We Are
Indonesian Research Literacy (IRL), known in Indonesia as Literasi Riset Indonesia (LRI), is a professional organization established to contribute to the development of research, researchers, and scientific knowledge.
LRI brings together individuals who are committed to the advancement of research and the development of research competence, professionalism, ethics, and integrity.
Our work is guided by the belief that research should not remain within academic and professional communities. Research findings and scientific knowledge can contribute to a better-informed society when they are communicated clearly, responsibly, and accessibly.
Why Research Literacy Matters
Research produces knowledge that can help us understand society, science, technology, education, health, the environment, and many other aspects of our lives.
Yet research findings are often difficult to access or understand outside academic and professional communities. LRI seeks to help bridge this gap.
We work to make research and scientific knowledge easier to understand, while encouraging the public to engage with evidence, understand how research is conducted, and develop a more informed perspective on issues that affect society.
Research literacy is not only about producing research. It is also about understanding, questioning, communicating, and using knowledge responsibly.

Our digital infrastructure is supported by nonprofit technology programs and cloud resources that help us develop, manage, and share research knowledge with the public.
Our Organization
Literasi Riset Indonesia (LRI) was established in Medan, Indonesia, on 30 December 2022.
The organization was established as a professional organization for researchers in Indonesia, with a commitment to supporting the development of research, research competence, scientific knowledge, and collaboration.
LRI operates independently and is not part of any political organization.
